  • Find a quiet moment & take what you need

    I am:

    loved / worthy

Words of kindness whispered by the leaves, affirmations written in the sky. Scenes of quiet beauty, which invite you to pause and set your intention for the day. Physical reminders to check in with yourself, to slow down and take care of your body, your soul.

Scenes from the Dutch plains, where landscapes meet affirmations, permission slips, and reflective moments.

For those of you who are part of the Instagram community as well, you might recognize these pieces as painted versions from the Check-in-Thursdays: nature scenes with affirmations with two options for you to choose from. Mantras to live by, statements to grow into.

    As we say every Thursday:

    Check-in Thursday.

Find a quiet moment & take what you need. If both options apply, comment both. Maybe you believe it, but maybe wanting to believe it is enough for now. So, repeat after me:

Every Thursday the interactions are special and many participate, so I decided to paint the words that help me ground. The affirmations that help me grow. The words are there, hidden in the landscape - reflecting how I tend to create the stories for 'Check-in Thursdays': often with eyes closed and wind in my hear. Or staring into the dancing grasses. Whispers of A Something Bigger through the rustling of leaves.

I hope this painting can be a physical reminder of that affirmation. Permission slips help me shift authority from outside voices to my own. They’re reminders to keep looking for that inner voice and to let it rule.
