Golden hour reflected in the river near our Bnb in Trondheim. We lóved spending our last weekend in this beautiful city. The sun was actually warm and we spent a Sunday afternoon overlooking the city and the fjord from the ruins on the hills – together with what seemed like all the young people from Trondheim, barbecuing and playing games until the sun went down. Travel brings perspective and I think it’s so special to get a bit of insight into daily routines in different places. Knowing that somewhere, some 1700 kilometers away, people gather at that hill as the sun comes out, makes me smile and slow down for a bit. I close my eyes and can almost hear the Norwegian voices and almost smell those first days of spring and little fires everywhere.
'Sillage' is painted on an out of date, 8,5x5,8cm business card. I prepared the surface so it'd be suitable for painting and used both acrylics and oil paints. The painting is coated with a layer of clear, glossy varnish. Price includes the 13x18 matte board and FSC certified, white washed maple wood frame with plexiglass. Feel free to reach out to me if you'd prefer to buy the piece without the frame/matte board.
